03.28.06 The webpage is about to change, this will more than likely be the last time this is updated. Big changes will be happening to the webpage in the next week or so.There will be a new layout with a Film section, Store, Jennanas section, Music, Art, and a Blog for all updates. I recently finished my debut short film and am moving to LA for the summer to work on music, film, and writing. Check the blog for all updates and info. Jennanas is a suprise that will hopefully be up in the next week or two. Lots of big new has been happening lately, keeping most of it under wraps but keeping check the page and the blog to gain knowledge.
03.06.06 On the opening page you will see a link to a new song that's been recorded, I highly suggest you download it. The song is a cover of Britney Spears' Toxic. It was recorded specifically for 89.3 The Current, the MPR station out of St. Paul. The song will also provide a good preview of what's to come. The song was performed by Eamonn Walsh and The Clap. The Clap is Eamonn's new studio and backing band who he is currently working with to record their debut album. They are not in any hurry so the process will be slow but worth it. Most of the rest of the webpage is old and crappy so don't bother looking too hard.
In other news, former record label for Daytrader, Big Records, is no longer operating. The label was shut down for numerous reasons including expansion and growth. The owners of the label are in the process of launching another larger one and we will keep you updated on what's going on with them. It is unclear as of right now if Eamonn Walsh and The Clap will be working with the owners for their future releases, only time will tell. This webpage will soon have a link to a store where you can purchase copies of Daytrader's album Modecai. Stay tuned to 89.3 the current and keep your ears open for Eamonn Walsh and The Clap.
01.12.06 It's been almost one full year since this page has been updated. A lot has happened and a lot has changed, but the music will always be there. Trace is currently studying in Chile and will not be recording music anytime soon. Eamonn is living in St. Paul and has just purchased new recording equipment and plans to have his studio done in the coming weeks. Recording will start immediately and many songs will be born. Expect a solo folk record from Eamonn by the end of the year. Also by the end of the year expect the debut record of his new rock band The Clap. More news and info once songs are ready to be put on the site.
01.24.05 So got back from a lil bit of touring and set off to Omaha to hang with friends. Tired of driving. The tour went fairly well. A couple of shows fell threw which blew but met some classic people and made a great time of it. The record is out right now and you can find it in a few select record stores but it will be available online shortly and you better purchase it. As for future shows expect a full national tour this summer with both Trace and I, otherwise I will be playing some sporadic shows in the Twin Cities and Chicago whenever I can so keep an eye out for when I'm playing. Much love to all who came out to see me and much love to the anarchists of Kentucky whom I will never forget.
12.08.04 The new record will be dropping like an anvil later this month. Tour dates for Januray will also be dropping later this month. With the new record will be all sorts of goodies and updates to the webpage, bigrecords.com has a nice little advertisment up. The shows in Kansas went good, Wichita is a crazy ass city. Check back soon for more updates.
10.27.04 Haven't updated in quite some time so lots and lots of news. The album will be coming out in three weeks. We will be touring throughout the month of January and will have a list of dates as soon as they are all official. We will be playing at The Dusty Bookshelf in Manhattan, Kansas on Dec. 3rd so go check that out and buy some cds. We'll also prob. be playing a show in that area on the 4th and will let you know for sure when we find out.
06.19.04 Just to assure you that the album is actually coming out I put up to Mp3s from it in the audio section. Download and enjoy. Let us know how you like them. Still no idea when the album will actually be coming out, it is finished though.
04.20.04 Wow haven't updated in forever, but today is your lucky day. Brand new pics are up, some from the promo shoot we took for the upcoming album entitled "mordecai" and some new just random pics check it out here. It's official: the album is totally finished and will be released on Big Records out of LA. All tracks are done, we are currently working on a final track list and the design for the album. As soon as a track list and design are finished we will put the cover pic up here and the tracklist. Keep checking up, a official release date should be made soon and we'll also put up a free mp3 from the album.
01.01.04 Happy New Year! The creation of a monster has officialy begun check here for updates.
12.16.03 Daytrader enters the studio on Monday to begin work on the tentatively titled LP The Grass At Winters Door. We wil be recording pretty much every day from the 22nd untill the 12th of Jan. X-mas will be off and also a few other days, but we hope to have the basis of the album done by the 12th. Lots of video and pics will be taken, and hopefully some songs made too. We're even gonna keep a daily log to show you whats up.
11.24.03 The Ages & Distances EP is finally out tomorrow. Contact the band our Zach to get a copy, but hurry because they are limited. If you buy one and keep the flyer you can get a discount on the upcoming full-length. Also, add Colorado Springs to the schools we will be playing to promote the album early next year.
11.18.03 Contrary to popular belief Daytrader is still alive. We are currently planning a mini college radio station tour for February, so far we are going to be playing at Drake, Nebraska University, NDSU, BHSU, and we're also working on some more. More news on that as soon as things are final. We're also finishing up the demos for the new album, which we still hope to have finished by the end of the year. The Ages & Distances EP will be out as soon as the flyers get delivered.
11.10.03 Here is review of the Asaurus Records EP here.
11.03.03 As you may have noticed the release of
The Ages & Distances EP has been delayed. This is due to the fact that I
am slow as hell and have also been somewhat busy. I do hope to have the EPs
finished and ready for sale by the end of the week.*fingers crossed* In other
Daytrader news work is being done on the new LP. Demos are being recorded and
string players and drummers are being recruited.
10.20.03 The Ages & Distances EP should be out by the end of the week. Buyers will get a blank CD-R and also a limited edition flyer(the same one on opening page) and a b-side to the new album. All proceeds will go to the full-length album that is currently in the works. The new album "The Grass At Winter's Door" should be finished by the end of the year. We are currently in talks with a few labels in Cal and one in Lincoln about who will put it out. We'll let you know as soon as we do. Also, look for Daytrader to be making some appearances in the upcoming months to promote the album. In late Nov. or early Dec. we will be appearing on "Bloodshot" the alt-country show every Monday night at UNL Radio.
10.01.03 Out today! Go to here to order the debut daytrader EP which is now available at Asaurus Records.
09.28.03 Trace was in the studio this weekend so we worked on some tracks for the full length, also for fun we recorded a cover of the song Where Did You Sleep Last Night by blues artist Leadbelly. Check it out in the audio section.
09.22.03 It is official, daytrader's debut self-titled EP will be out on Asaurus Records on Oct. 1. The thing is the only way you can get the EP is if you join the EP Club. It's very cheap, but is limited to only 100 members, so hurry up and join. For more info on it go here. Also, for info on future releases go to the new releases page.
09.20.03 Big news I spose. daytrader will be self-releasing an EP in the very near feature. The cd will be the same 5 tracks that many record labels have had mailed to them, but it will also include an exclusive bonus track that is a b-side to the upcoming full length. Each cd will come with a numbered mini flyer with info on the EP and the upcoming full length. Expect the EP to be available in the next couple of weeks. daytrader would like to give a big thanx to Zach, without him this EP would probably not be coming out. Contact Zach, or daytrader to find out how to get a copy of this exclusive limited release cd.
09.17.03 Ok, daytrader needs your help. The EP that Shmat reviewed, which is posted below, is not the EP that is coming out on Asaurus Records. The EP that Shmat reviewed was never planned to come out, but now interest has grown. daytrader would like to know what sales would look like if we release the EP in a limited number as a cd-r. Each EP would be numbered and only a limited amount would be released. The EP would also include a 6th track that was a demo for our upcoming full-length. Please let us know.
09.11.03
